Two mobile phones showing a dashboard with measurement data

FAQ

Our numbers haven't been adding up since the cookie transition, where do we start?

In a measurement strategy and a review of the data quality. Most often, the problem lies in what is measured, where and why, rather than in the tools.

We compare what is measured today with what you need to know. Often, tracking remains from several years ago that no one uses anymore, while what guides decisions is not measured at all.

After that, we look at consent, tagging and data quality. Once the foundation is right, it is possible to talk about tools and reports, and the figures start to be trustworthy again.

What is server-side tracking?

Measurement that goes through your own server instead of the visitor's browser. More stable data in a cookieless world, and more control over what is shared.

The browser sends an event to your own server, which in turn forwards what you have chosen to the respective tool. You decide what leaves the house and what stays.

The benefit is more stable measurement when browsers block scripts and shorten cookie lifetimes. Consent is still needed: the rules apply just as much when the measurement moves to the server.

We are already drowning in dashboards.

That is often where we begin. The goal is fewer views and clearer decisions, with analysis that tells you what to do.

We start from what decisions you need to make and how often. Anything that does not support one of those decisions can be removed without anyone missing it.

The result is usually one view for management, one for those working in the channels, and a deeper one for analysis. Plus a short text explaining what the numbers mean this month, because that is rarely obvious.

What are GEO and AEO?

Optimization to be visible in AI-generated answers (GEO) and to become the source that answers the question (AEO). Classic SEO is the foundation. This is the next layer.

In practice, it is about making the content quotable: clear questions and answers, structure that machines can read, sources and figures that can be verified, and mentions on sites the models trust.

Much of this makes the content better for humans as well. The difference lies in how it is structured and where it is visible.

Does it replace SEO?

No. AI answers are based on the same signals as search—namely quality, structure, and authority—but weight them differently. You need both.

Search still drives traffic. AI answers shape your image to the person asking, and increasingly, it is the first encounter a buyer has with you.

The fundamentals are shared: technical health, content that answers real questions, and external authority. On top of that, we add the work that makes you quotable.

Can visibility in AI responses be measured?

Yes. We track how often and how you are mentioned in AI answers and report the change. The discipline moves every month.

We ask a fixed set of questions to the major services at regular intervals and note if you are mentioned, how you are described, and which sources the answer relies on.

Over time, this provides a curve to work towards and a list of which sources are worth influencing. The measurement is young, so we also state what it does not show.
